Our research focuses on public problems with a normative component and contributes to building humane societies in which all people can lead meaningful lives. Our transdisciplinary approach integrates philosophy, history and the social sciences. The University of Humanistic Studies (in Dutch: Universiteit voor Humanistiek) is situated in Utrecht in the Netherlands. The research programme is conducted by six chair groups.
