While sharing is sometimes believed to be an alternative to property or exchange, my qualitative research shows that it is embedded in both structures of private property and digitally enhance processes of economic exchange. Thus it can make the world a better place on the ground, but on the more abstract level of platforms and ownership structures, it also has some dark sides that are not so evident. This is discussed in my presentation from the perspective of participants.
