Ecology of the Enligthenment: A Defense

Description

By a reinterpretation of La Mettrie's radical writings I demonstrate how much ecological awareness there was in 18th century thought. I argue than we cannot blame 'the enlightenment' for the climate crisis, as it is increasingly argued, but rather understand that the destruction of nature is against enlightenment values.
