Project Details
Description
This study evolves around the following central research question:
How can patients, relatives and caregivers be optimally supported in discussing the meaning and experience of the palliative phase (ethical and spiritual dimension), and how can the results of these discussions influence the communication between caregivers in the chain in such a way that it can guide the provision of better patient and family oriented care?
The project develops further the widely used conversation model called Ars Moriendi. The aim is to support general health care providers in visualizing the spiritual and ethical dimension of the experience of patients in the palliative phase and their relatives, and to make and keep it open to discussion in order to realize more appropriate care.
