Palliatief Landelijk Onderzoek Eerstelijns Geestelijke verzorging – 3: “Integratie GV eerste lijn vanuit drie multidisciplinaire praktijken”

Project Details

Description

Rationale
There is an increasing focus on meaning-making in primary palliative care. But how do healthcare providers discover the needs for meaning in patients and loved ones? When and how do you refer patients to another care provider? And how do you ensure that attention to meaningfulness fits well with how care is organized at a particular site, and is embedded in the care that is given every day?

Results
In this project we developed training, referral tools and an implementation toolbox. In this we coordinated with two other national research projects. The results can be found at: https://palliaweb.nl/projecten/zingeving-in-de-thuissituatie. In addition, a number of scientific articles have been written with learning points from this research.

Impact
This study enables primary care providers to shape the attention for meaningfulness. They can choose from the products of this study what suits their situation. This allows them to better meet the needs of patients and relatives in palliative care.
