In this PhD thesis, untertaken in CaVoscari University Venice, Italy, and Max Weber Kolleg, University of Erfurt, Germany, Lukas Meisner investigates the history of Critical theory over the 20th century and comes up with his own reinterpretation of Marxist thinking in terms of political autonomy.
