Samenvatting
Demanding longevity and perfect justice within and between countries as a prerequisite to serious investment in the basic science of senescence (resulting in life-extension technology) is asking too much. Studying the biological and medical aspects of aging well is becoming more and more important for low-income countries in the South. Advances in the basic science of senescence are strongly linked to the prevention and treatment of a host of age-associated chronic diseases.
